So this was a total impropmtu outfit shoot. I was going to get my hair done, hence the makeup free face, and decided to take some pictures!
I’m wearing a few of my ride or die items! These leggings are my absolute fave. They’re a bit pricey but worth every penny! I’ve accumulated quite a few pairs but I’m dying to try these leggings too! I also love a good vest! One day I will invest in the actual J. Crew Excursion Vest, but until then it’s J. Crew Factory for me. I got this vest a few months back for like $40 on major sale from the J. Crew Factory website. It get’s a lot more wear than my red J. Crew vest. Also if you didn’t know J. Crew Factory has a student discount, so shop on!
Anyway I hope you all enjoyed this cozy and super easy look!
So for today’s post I decided to put together two similar outfits, one being more expensive and the other more budget friendly. I definitely have champagne taste on a beer (very cheap beer) budget. As a college student and a fashion lover, I love to daydream and look at all of those beautiful, expensive pieces, unfortunately looking and owning are two different things.
As I have mentioned earlier, I am beyond obsessed with vests. I figured I would do a Save or Splurge centered around a cute olive green colored vest. I added a cream sweater, dark wash jeans, a nude cross-body and leopard flats. Super cute and super easy! How do you guys wear your vests?
J. Crew quilted vest (currently on sale!) // old black dress, similar here and here // vintage Louis Vuitton clutch similar here // Over-the-knee boots // Target watch // Alex and Ani and Chavez for Charity bracelets (gold tennis bracelet was a gift from my grandma, similar here!)
One of my favorite winter essentials is a vest! Any of my friends would tell you that my obsession with vests is real. From fur to puffer vests, I just love them all. Sometimes I pick vests over coats, which I always end up regretting, especially if it’s like 9 degrees (I did this the other morning on the way to work!) This is a super easy holiday outfit. A simple black bodycon dress, over-the-knee boots and a pop of color is all you need! If the boots aren’t your thing, switch them out with some cute lace-up flats! I am a lover of these thigh high boots! They are so trendy and can really be worn with a dressed up or a dressed down outfit. Very versatile shoes and a must have for your closet!
You guys like the sassy pose in the last picture?? Cincinnati Sass at it’s best. Have a good week!
